TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Please carefully review the Terms and Conditions in our booking procedure and our Policies before making a booking as by agreeing to our Terms, Conditions and Policies you are accepting everything in them.

  • Our Contract binds you, (the person named on the booking confirmation) and all members of your party, including children and any day visitors.

  • You will be responsible for any loss or damage caused by you, any member of your party or animal accompanying you.

 

Identity of who is making the booking and staying in the property

You agree that:

  • You are one of the Guests staying at the Property and you are over 18 years of age. Your Identity will be verified prior to acceptance of your booking.

  • You are not booking on behalf of a third party. If someone other than you wish to book and you are not staying yourself then they must book the accommodation themselves. Their Identity will be verified prior to booking.

Verifying Your Identity

  • You will be asked to submit your Name, Address, email and mobile phone number at the time of booking.​

Making your Booking

You agree:

  • Upon completion of the Booking form and paying the full payment we will send you a Booking Confirmation. This information is important because it (along with your booking confirmation email, and any pre contractual information provided before you book) sets out the legal terms on which we offer our services. At this point a binding contract, incorporating these Terms, will come into existence.

  • We reserve the right to refuse a booking at any time but will of course treat everyone equally and fairly.

  • We will notify You on receipt of your payment, by email

  • Cheques, Cash, AMEX and bank transfers are not accepted forms of payment

  • Payment is made via Stripe which supports adaptive pricing in the currency from up to 40 countries

Discounts

  • Discounts must be taken up at the time of booking and cannot be applied retrospectively.

  • Seasonal discounts may be offered on the website. Conditions apply

  • Only one discount can be applied to a Booking Fee at any one time, and the discount with the highest value will apply

Damages

  • The property must be left in a clean and tidy condition

  • Please make us aware of any breakages or damage caused during your stay Preferably close to the time of the damage so that we may be able to replace/repair to allow you to continue to enjoy your stay and definitely before you check out of the property

  • We shall be entitled to charge you for any costs or expenses that maybe incurred due to any breakage or damage or a failure by you to leave the Barnlet in a clean and tidy condition

  • We may provide receipts or other evidence of incurred costs whenever it is reasonable or practical to do so but we reserve the right not to do so in certain situations (an example would be where damage has been repaired by using our own time and resources)​

Amending Your Booking

You can amend your booking by logging into your account. Your email address is your password. Change of dates, no of guests can be amended subject to availability. If this is not possible, please send an email info@piglets.co.uk
 

Special Requests

Special requests must be requested at the point of booking and no later than seven days prior to travel. Whilst we will do our best to accommodate you, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any request
 

Cancellation of your Booking

  • You can cancel your booking at any time up to 30 days prior to arrival, by logging into your account. Your refund will be paid into your account within 5 working days.

  • Within 30 days prior to arrival in the event of death or serious illness of anyone in your booking party or their immediate family members, refunds can only be issued on presentation of supporting evidence. We define 'immediate family' as spouse/registered partner, co-habiting partner, children, parents, parents-in-law, siblings, siblings-in-law, grandparents and grandparents-in-law

  • It may be possible to re book for a later date subject to availability. Please send an email to info@piglets.co.uk

  • We strongly advise that you take out comprehensive travel insurance to cover cancellations. If you choose not to, then you accept responsibility for any loss that you may incur due to your cancellation

  • If we must cancel your booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you promptly and refund all payments made. Cancellation will be limited to payments made to us. This is to avoid anyone claiming money back for meals, spa treatment’s with 3rd parties on site here or elsewhere during their stay

Smoking

  • Vaping, smoking or using e cigarettes anywhere inside the premises will result in immediate termination of occupancy and forfeiture of all payments.

  • No smoking anywhere on site. This includes outside areas

  • There is a public seated area in Climping Street, by the entrance to The Piglets where you can smoke or vape

Permitted Arrival/Departure Times
  • Check-in: 15:00 – 22:00

  • Checkout before 11:00

  • Please Note: There is a Self-check-in with lockbox

 

Before You Leave

Please:

  • Strip the bed linen and place together with the used towels and kitchen cloths into the laundry bags provided

  • Waste should be deposited in the bins outside as per the signage

  • Where possible replace all washed, dried crockery and cutlery into the kitchen cupboards or drawers where you first found them.

  • If time is pressing you can load your breakfast crockery and cutlery into the dishwasher and SWITCH IT ON to run through its cycle. We will empty it when we come into clean

  • Lock-up and put the key back in the key box

 

General

  • Do not move furnishings or bedlinen outside.

  • If you do move furniture around inside, please put the furniture back where you found it before you leave.

  • Please lock the doors and close the windows when you leave the property unoccupied.

  • Please make sure you switch off lights or any electrical appliances when you go out – we’re an eco-friendly holiday home.

  • Please don’t take any bath towels with you to the beach. If you have not brought your own, we can provide you with some suitable towels.

  • We reserve the right to make a charge to cover additional cleaning costs if you leave the property in an unacceptable condition.

  • Please note that if any keys issued are not returned at the end of your stay, then the cost of replacement will be charged to you.

  • The client may in no circumstance re-let or sublet the property

  • All inventory must remain in the property and not be taken to another property

  • You are responsible for the supervision of all members of your party under the age of 18 at all times.

  • When you have unloaded any luggage, please park your vehicle in the designated parking space, ensuring cars do not block access. Parking for 2 vehicles per barnlet is provided. Other parking maybe available – email info@piglets.co.uk to enquire

  • Fireworks, Chinese lanterns, firepits, candles and all barbeques are prohibited

  • Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians

  • No hen/stag parties permitted

  • Single-sex bookings of 6 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted

  • If you want to use the services of a third-party supplier (e.g. a chef, beauty treatments) this must be agreed beforehand. If you bring a third-party supplier without consent, we reserve the right to ask them to leave. We do not accept liability for the activities of these third-party suppliers

  • Commercial Photography is not allowed. However, if you are a social media influencer, please let us know – email info@piglets.co.uk

  • For any filming or official photography enquiries, please email info@piglets.co.uk

 

Noise Levels

  • Please respect the community and keep noise levels to a minimum, especially between 10 pm and 8 am

  • We reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement with immediate effect where the unreasonable behaviour of the persons named on the booking (or their guests) may impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of others. You’ll be asked to leave the property, without any refund of the rental amount paid

 

Complaints

Any problem or complaint must be immediately reported directly to Alison to allow us the opportunity to resolve it. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site. Please email info@piglets.co.uk
