OUR DOG POLICY​

 

Dogs Welcome

We welcome Assistance Dogs, well behaved family pet dogs and other pets by prior arrangement.

The Piglets provides each barn with a private rear patio garden. Picket fencing provides safe containment for pets. Communal grass lawn is wrapped around three sides with an open aspect at the front.

The whole complex is surrounded by six-foot high close boarded panel fencing, which separates guests from the adjoining Woodpecker Camping Field, which operates seasonally April to October.

In addition, there is a secure 5-bar gate across the main entrance so that well behaved dogs with good recall can run free on the grass within the complex under your supervision.

Please be mindful of other dogs and guests who may not like dogs. Please have a conversation before you let them run free and be ready with their leads to recall them should there be any problem.

Bagged dog waste can be deposited into the designated waste bin provided.

Pet Fees

There is a charge of £5 per Dog per night

Number of Dogs Allowed

We allow up to two well-behaved dogs per booking but are happy to discuss if you need to bring three.

Please do not leave your Dogs unattended

No-Go Areas

We ask guests not to allow pets on the furniture or on the beds

External Guest Access

Guests can walk right around the terrace of properties to access the grass area and patios at the rea. There is a small gate into each patio from the rear where each has its own water tap and hosepipe for washing off muddy boots and pets.

Dog-Friendly Local Destinations

We are surrounded by wonderful dog-friendly walks on footpaths across our family farm. Climping beach is dog friendly year-round.

There are many local pubs that will permit dogs, two within walking distance.

These include The Black Horse pub in Climping Street, where dogs are allowed everywhere on leads, and The Oystercatcher Pub on Yapton Road where dogs on leads are allowed in the Bar and garden only. They are not permitted into the restaurant unless they are Assistance Dogs.

For both The Piglets and Woodpecker Camping Field, we do not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and Fila Brasileiro)
